2 cups finely chopped hot peppers
1 sm head chopped cabbage
2 cups chopped onions
2 cups chopped sweet red peppers
2 cups chopped sweet green peppers
1/2 cup salt
3/4 cup sugar
3 tbsp mustard seed
2 tbsp celery seed
1 qt vinegar
5 cups chopped tomatoes
3 - 8 0z cans tomato paste
Dissolve salt in 2 quarts cold water. Pour over chopped vegetables and let stand for 1 hour. Drain. (if too salty, drain and rinse again). Add vegetables, sugar and spices to vinegar; simmer 20 minutes, bring to boiling. Pack, boiling hot into jars leaving 1/8" head space.
