Fried Cornbread Recipe
Add enough milk to self-rising cornmeal, a teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt to make a thin batter and drop out with tablespoon. Consistency should be about like thick paint.
Fry the batter in about ½ to ¾ inch of hot oil on medium heat in a skillet until brown on both sides.
