**SMOKED MEATS** CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE - CHECK BACK SOON
Many thanks to a friend Tommy Crane for sharing his sweet and tangy pickle recipe. Super simple to make, no canning involved. Next time I go to Costco I'll probably get a gallon jug!
Mt Olive works well but any brand would do. Just make sure they are dill and not sweet dill.
"After pickles are gone I reuse mixed juice with fresh pickles and add the 3 ingredients as needed. Very easy and everyone loves them." Any pickle juice can also be used as a marinade for poultry.
Tommy Crane 2014
32oz Jar of dill chips
3 tbsp Lousiana Hot Sauce
1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 tpsp minced garlic
1 cup sugar
Buy an ordinary 32 oz bottle of dill chips. Empty vinegar from pickle jar to a bowl-to be re-used. In the bowl add 1 cup sugar, 1tbsp minced garlic and 3 tbsp of La. Hot sauce. Mix throughly until sugar dissolves.
Add vinegar mixture back into jars but leave enough room to shake very well, then enough to cover pickles. Leave in refrigerator 24 hrs before eating. Keep in refrigerator.
If you get industrious, Costco sells gallon of dill chips for $4.99. Add 5 cups sugar, 1/4 cup hot sauce and 2 tablespoons of minced garlic.
Many Thanks to Tommy Crane for recipe
