Easily made this creamy whipped feta is delicious on baked potatoes or in between smash lamb burgers. It has a beautifully light texture and a nice lemon zing.
Use a good quality feta that is creamy, otherwise you may need to add more olive oil and yogurt.
Refrigerate for storage and bring to room temperature before serving
8oz block of good quality creamy feta, do not use crumbled feta
4oz softened cream cheese
2 Tbsp whole fat greek yogurt
2 tsp lemon zest
3 Tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
Topping
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
red chili flakes (or aleppo pepper)
lemon zest
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
In a food processor, place the feta, cream cheese, yogurt, olive oil, lemon zest. Pulse until creamy.
Transfer to a serving dish and top with a drizzle of olive oil, pinches of pepper flakes, zest and toasted sesame seeds.
Serve as a dip with pita bread, baguette, or fresh veggies, also makes an excellent condiment for smashed lamb burgers
