**SMOKED MEATS** CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE - CHECK BACK SOON
If you like savory, umami and just a little spicy this is the rub for you. It can be used as an all purpose seasoning for many different things. In Rodney Scott's restaurant it is used on meats, in the potato salad, and on the pork rinds. Rodney unapologetically uses MSG. There is no doubt that it's a real flavor maker.
1⁄2 cup Kosher salt
1⁄4 cup MSG
1⁄4 cup ground black pepper
1⁄4 cup sweet paprika
1⁄4 cup chili powder
1⁄4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons onion powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
Mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl and place in an airtight container. Cover and store in a cool, dry place until ready to use. Keeps well and makes about 2 cups.
