A delicious breakfast or brunch treat served with s sprinkle of powdered sugar and smothered with your favorite syrup. Mrs Butterworth is good but #1 Maple or Old Timey Ribbon Cane Syrup is even better!
Guaranteed to be a hit as well as being quick and EASY to prepare. But of course, you must also say it like the French do- repeat after me: "kwa-sont"
Prep time <15 minutes
Serves four - Bon-a-petit!
3 large eggs- beaten
1 Tbsp butter
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1/2 c milk
1/4 tsp cinnamon
4 Sandwich size croissant-sliced lengthways or split and folded open lengthways.
Heat 1 tbp butter over med heat in large non-stick skillet
Mix the eggs, vanilla, salt, milk and cinnamon in a large shallow bowl.
Dredge the sliced croissants thru the egg mixture and cook on each side until golden brown.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and serve with your favorite syrup.
