This takes a really hot grill to scorch the vegetables right. I like to catch the end of a grill cycle after grilling Carne Asada.
A favorite to go with Carne Asada Tacos or Carnitas or for that matter simply with chips as an appetizer.
Ingredients
2 green chilis
1 jalapeno pepper
5 tomatillos
1 bulb garlic
1 sweet onion
2 ripe tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Grill chilis tomatillos, onion and garlic over hot coals until well burnt.
Remove skins from garlic, tomatoes and tomatillos.
Place all ingredients in blender and pulse until desired thickness is reached. Add salt and pepper to taste.
