Jim n Nicks Cheese Biscuits

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups self rising flour

• 3/4 cup sugar

• 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

• 3/4 cup milk

• 1 egg, beaten well

• 4 tablespooons butter, melted

• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

• 1 cup shredded cheese

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  

2. Butter or spray muffin tins.  

3. Combine flour, sugar and baking powder and set aside. 

4.  Whisk egg, milk, butter, and vanilla together.  

5. Pour the liquid ingredients over the dry ingredients and, with the whisk, gently but quickly stir to bled.  

6. Incorporate shredded cheese into the batter. Do not over mix. 

7. Divide batter evenly among greased muffin tins.  

8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.  

9. Makes 10-12.
