butter horns
Butter Horns
Thanksgiving day specialty. Great with the rich savory flavors.
Recipe for 2lb bread maker, can also be mixed in a large bowl.
Ingredients
3/4cup +2 tbsp milk
1/3cup water
1/3 cup butter
1 egg
4 cups bread flour
3 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
Preparation
Mix and divide into two halves.
If mixed in a bowl, let rise in a warm place for an hour.
Roll into pizza shape and brush the top generously with butter. Cut into equally sized wedges, roll each wedge from large end towards small end. Brush tops of rolls with butter.
Spray baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and place rolls leaving room to rise. Let rise another about 45 minutes.
Bake at 350 for approx 15 minutes.
