Buffalo Wings (Bama Style)
This is a favorite recipe of ours for quite a while. The chicken takes the italian dressing pretty well up front and then basting while finishing really makes it for me.
Ingredients
1 large pack (about 4lb) cut up chicken wings
1 bottle Wishbone Robusto Italian dressing
1 bottle Crystal Wing Sauce
1 bottle Old Dutch Sweet and Sour Dressing
Preparation
Mix together 1/3 bottle Wishbone Robusto Italian dressing 1/3 bottle and 1/3 bottle Old Dutch Sweet and Sour Dressing. Pour over wings and marinade for at least a couple of hours, overnight is better. . Toss a couple of times to coat completly.
Combine remaining dressings and mix well.
Cook wings over med hot coals until almost done then baste frequently with mixture for about an hour. Place in large foil lined pan and add remaining basting sauce and stir to coat throughly. Cover and let simmer in crock pot or in oven oven on 200 overnight or for at least several hours. A crock pot can also be used as needed.
Serve with celery, bleu cheese dip or dressing and plenty paper towels. For extra heat sprinkle wings with ground cayenne pepper or Venom before serving.
