California

California, the promised land so they said. We've visited here many times over the years. A fun place to visit. Los Angeles is packed with tons of places and tons of people.  San Francisco, already a sanctuary city is becoming something Im not sure I want to visit again. 

San Diego is our favorite city and is located way south. actually just above the Southern border. Featuring a great downtown waterfront district as well as a little Italy. It's somehow seems not to be embroiled in all the politics of LA and SanFran. 

Palm Springs is an oddity, just the name indicates lots of water, well no. Just Palm trees and a place to escape from LA. Nice enough but one visit was enough for me.  

Our first visit was in 1992 then later to Catalina Island, Mammoth Mountain with kids, 2012 for Thanksgiving with my children.
