This amazing savory, crispy, treat is a favorite for turning leftover cornbread dressing into something other worldly. Simply crumble up the dressing and add an egg or two and wow what a treat. Top with maple syrup or Hot Honey.
Add milk as needed to make the mix a little soupy so it will pour.
Let the magic happen, top with nothing or kick up with maple syrup or hot honey. All will be good. The amazing smell of savory and crispy cheese will fill your kitchen!
1 c grated mozzarella cheese
1 egg beaten
2-3 tbsp Wondra flour or bisquik or waffle mix
1 1/2 c leftover cornbread dressing
Milk to make it a little soupy like lumpy pancake batter
Preheat waffle iron
Mix all ingredients good
Pour into smoking hot waffle iron.
Cook until crispy and burnt around edges. Mine takes 5 minutes to cook. I like them crispy round the edges. Results may vary.
