"My doctor told me to quit throwing dinner parties for 4 unless there are 3 other people - [sigh]" - Gramps
My mom would serve chili like this from time to time and I loved it. The Tamales in it really add to the flavor and texture so it's not just a regular ol' can of chili. It's a quick and easy and good lunch for a cold winter day. From the kitchen of: Kim GronemanINGREDIENTS:1 can of Chili. I like Nalley Con Carne with Beans (Regular or Cheddar Cheese)
I've tried more expensive brands and, to me, they don't taste as good
1 can of Hormel Tamales - Beef in Chili Sauce OR Lynn Wilson Tamales
Some (and that's an exact measurement) grated cheddar cheese
INSTRUCTIONS: Just divide out the chili and tamales into 2 or 3 servings...or heat in one big bowl...you choose. Nuke it until warm 'nuf for ya.
The canned tamales are wrapped in paper..please discard that part unless you really want to increase the fiber in your diet.
I like to cut up the tamales into bite sized pieces before warming
Top with the cheese to taste
MAKES: This usually makes two big servings or 3 smaller ones.
