"My doctor told me to quit throwing dinner parties for 4 unless there are 3 other people - [sigh]" - Gramps
One of my favorites from my mission daze. Easy to make, tastes real good. I can't buy the pickle that is supposed to go with it here, but the pickled beans we make are a REAL good substitute. In fact, they are what makes this dish go from ho-hum to wow!
From the kitchen of: Kim Groneman
1 lb hamburger
1 large onion
3 large potatoes
5 carrots
1 or 1 1/2 packages of (Medium Hot) Golden Curry (Found at Macey's)
Salt/Pepper
Brown hamburger and onions, add Salt/Pepper to taste.
Dice vegetables and add to meat.
Add enough water to the pot to just cover them.
Boil to desired softness
Add curry flavoring (Chop 'em up with a knife before dumping them in to speed up the dissolving)
Continue to cook until curry is desolved and sauce has thickened
Serve with rice and pickled beans, and Naan if you have the time.
HINT: When the pickled beans are gone, fill the jar of pickle juice with boiled eggs for a tasty treat..you won't be dissapointed!
