Crunchy Caramel Popcorn
Delicious classic caramel popcorn in minutes!
INGREDIENTS:
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Karo Syrup
2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
Plain popcorn (we do 2 batches of popcorn in the popper for 1 batch caramel--use more or less popcorn depending on how caramely you want it)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Boil 2 sticks butter, 1/2 c. Karo syrup, and 2 c. brown sugar for 5 minutes.
2. Add 1/2 tsp baking soda.
3. Pour over popcorn (I like to have the popcorn already in a brown paper bag, then just pour the caramel on top and stir to make sure all popcorn is coated).
To make it crunchy:
1. Fold (just to close) the top of the brown paper bag filled with the caramel popcorn.
2. Microwave for 30-60 seconds.
3. Take out of microwave, stir.
4. Repeat 2-3 times.
Makes: As much popcorn as you used.
