Breanna looked high and low for a recipe for buttermilk syrup like they serve in Georgia. She found this...and it's a little bit of heaven on a pancake!

MELT THE FOLLOWING TOGETHER IN A SAUCEPAN:1 stick butter
1 cup sugar or splenda
NOW ADD:
1 cup buttermilk
1 Tbsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
STIR TOGETHER WELL AND HEAT UNTIL BUBBLY AND FROTHY
Serve over pancakes, crepes, or waffles. HINT FROM KIM: Makes a *SUPURB* ice cream topping as well!
