Heart Healthy Oatmeal
Delicious, healthy breakfast option that is perfect on a cold morning!

The original recipe didn't call for water-- all milk. That can get expensive, and I don't think it tastes much different. I double this recipe for our family.
INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 cup old fashioned oatmeal
1/3 cup flaxseed meal
1 cup milk
2 cups water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
Walnuts, pecans, raisins, craisins, berries, coconut, etc. Use your imagination!

Mix all top ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Top with your favorite toppings and some milk and enjoy!
