Best BBQ Burgers/Steak
It's taken me years, but with Marilyn's expertise, I finally have come up with a BBQ hamburger recipe that is a winner. It also works for Steak - Kim
THE MEAT:
Two key ingredients to put on the meat before you start BBQing
KEY INGREDIENT 1: Garlic Salt. Plenty of it. This is the one key ingredient to making that meat taste yummy.
KEY INGREDIENT 2: Smoke. Too bad McCormic stopped making smokehouse pepper. It was perfect for this. I can't find a good alternative but until I do, just plain black pepper and some liquid smoke will do.
A little plain salt
That's it. Don't add anything else to the meat.
It also tastes better when I cook it on our small hibachi grill instead of our large grill. More concentrated smoke.
THE OTHER STUFF to make it better:
Tomato slices
Onion slices
Pickle slices
Cheese slices
Catsup & Mustard
