Sugar Cookies
My friend introduced me to these basic sugar cookies made with sour cream. YUM! Fluffy and yummy. You can also make the dough, roll it up, freeze it, then just slice it and bake it. Or you can freeze it, then thaw it and cut it out with a cookie cutter too.
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 c sugar
1 c butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla (you can substitute this for almond if you want)
2 eggs
1 c sour cream
5 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cream sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs together.
Add sour cream.
Mix dry ingredients together.
Gradually add dry to wet.
Chill one hour or freeze.
Bake 1/4" thick @ 350 for 10-12 minutes.
MAKES:3+ dozen, depending on how big you make them
