"My doctor told me to quit throwing dinner parties for 4 unless there are 3 other people - [sigh]" - Gramps
Using slightly aged cheese gives a stronger flavor, depending on your likes
From the kitchen of: Marilyn Groneman
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1-1/4 cup half & half (or mix cream with milk)
1-1/4 cup soft bread crumbs
1 cup shredded Gouda cheese (about 4 ounces)
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Some paprika
Mix all ingredients except paprika, pour into greased 1 quart casserole dish.
Sprinkle with paprika.
Cook uncovered at 325° until center is set, about 45-50 minutes.
(If this were my recipe, I'd throw in bacon bits, corn, brocoli, or whatever just for kicks...but it's not, so enjoy. It's good the way it is)
