"My doctor told me to quit throwing dinner parties for 4 unless there are 3 other people - [sigh]" - Gramps
Kim LOVES this low carb sandwich. Put it in a wrap, or put it in a bun. From the kitchen of MARILYN.
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 yellow onion thinly sliced
8 ounces mushrooms sliced
1 pound steak such as flank, rib eye or sirloin very thinly sliced
salt and pepper to taste
8 ounces cream cheese,
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or mixed with other cheese types)
2 garlic cloves cooked with steak
Bun or flatbed wrap (Kim likes the "Flat Out - Carb Down" flatbread you can find at Walmart. There are 3 different flavors: Original, Olive oil & sea salt, and Italian Herbs.)
Sauté the peppers in the oil for 5 minutes,
Add the mushrooms and onions and continue to fry until tender and a little browned.
Remove from the skillet into a bowl, then add more olive oil and the sliced steak and garlic to the pan and brown until done.
Cut chunks off the cream cheese and add the entire 8 oz block, turning down the heat to melt the cream cheese, also adding 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
When melted and stirred up, add the pepper mixture, mix and serve on a bun or flatbread.
