Cheese Bread
I KNOW THIS IS COMPLETELY FATTENING AND HORRIBLE FOR MY ARTERIES, AND THE RECIPE DOESN'T REALLY SOUND ALL THAT ENTICING........ BUT I'M STILL GOING TO EAT IT AT EVERY BOREN FAMILY BBQ.
From the kitchen of: Jessie Boren (Katie's sister-in-law)INGREDIENTS:1 Cube soft margarine or butter (I think we've used less... in a fruitless effort to make it less greasy)
1 jar Old English cheese spread
Garlic salt to taste
Chives (we added this to make it look fancy, but the original recipe doesn't call for it.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix all the ingredients together with a hand mixer.
Spread on 1-2 loaves French bread cut in half (depends on how thick you want your cheese)
Broil in oven for 2-3 min. until spread is bubbly and golden brown.
Cut into slices.
Steal however many pieces you will require, because there won't be any leftovers.
