Grilled Green Tomatoes with Creamy Basil Sauce (GF)
I found this recipe in a cooking magazine, and it intrigued me. I think it is so yummy!!!

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 c.Mayonnaise
1/4 c.Fresh basil leaves
1 small garlic clove, minced
1 T. fresh lemon juice
3 green tomatoes
1 T. vegetable oil
coarse salt and ground pepper
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat a grill or pan to meduim-high.
Clean and lightly oil hot grill.
In a food processor, combine mayonnaise, basil leaves, garlic and lemon juice and process until smoth (add 1-2 tsp. of water if needed).
Cut tomatoes into 1/2 in. slices, brush w/ oil, and season with salt and pepper.
Grill until lightly charred and softened, 2-3 minutes.
Transfer to a platter and spoon sauce over the top.
MAKES: A yummy side dish perfect for about 8 people-- less if they like it as much as I do.
