Equipment is necessary for troops, and helps them in their efforts. Most equipment remains of standard quality, with richer kingdoms being more willing to shell out money to better equip their soldiers. Most of the time however, only the higher ranking troops of a kingdom receive the better gear.
Gear is chosen when the Troop is purchased, and thus reduces or increases cost depending on how poorly or how well you equip them.
Weapons are broken into types like normal, with each weapon type dealing a set amount of damage on average.
Simple: 1d6 damage
Sword: 1d10 damage
Polearm: 2d8 damage
Axe: 2d12 damage
Hammer: 3d6 damage
Bow: 1d20 damage
Quality is as follows;
Scrap: Reduces Troop cost by 2, but reduce damage dealt by 5.
Poor: Reduces Troop cost by 1, but reduces damage dealt by 2.
Average: No change.
Good: Increase Troop cost by 2, increases damage dealt by 2.
Superior: Increase Troop cost by 5, increases damage dealt by 4.
Magical: Increase Troop cost by 10, increase damage dealt by 8.
