For utilizing your sense of smell.

Usage: Using your sense of smell to be able to notice scents in an area around you. Normally, characters can detect smells within a 4 square radius of them if the smell isn't too strong but not too faint. Stronger smells and weaker smells alter this, as well as altering the DC of the smell check required to notice it.
Normally a Smell check is DC 20 in order to detect a creature within 4 squares, however this DC is increased by 1 for every additional square the creature is away. Upwind doubles the normal range you can smell in, and downwind halves your sense of smell's range.
Strong scents (such as smoke and rancid garbage) can be detected twice as far out as normal scents. Overwhelming scents (such as a skunk's odor or filth created by a disease spell) can be detected three times as far out as normal scents. Doubling or halving from upwind/downwind is done after applying bonuses from strong/overwhelming scents.
