Warriors who take the fight directly to spellcasters, they learn to counter spells and their harmful effects.
Prerequisite(s): Cannot be a spellcaster, Arcana Trained Rank or higher
If you acquire spellcasting after having gained Witch Hunter talents, you lose all Witch Hunter talents and refund their TP costs.
Magic Reflection: You can spend Magic Points to counterspell a spell targeting you or an adjacent ally. Doing this costs 4 Stamina regardless of the MP cost, can be done outside of your own turn, and in place of an opposed Spellcasting check you instead roll Arcana.
Riposte Spell: If you have performed a counterspell using the Magic Reflection talent, successfully reflected spells make a new attack roll (using your Arcana for to-hit) and this new attack roll is targeted to the original caster or another one of the caster's allies within range.
Prevailing Zeal: You receive a +4 to all defenses against spells.
Witch Slayer: Against spellcasters you receive a +2 bonus to damage, this talent can be taken multiple times, each time increasing the bonus by 2 (to a maximum of +10).
Spell Sense: You are capable of using the Smell skill to attempt to find a spellcaster within your immediate area. The DC attempt to find a spellcaster is equal to 15 + 5 for every 12 squares they are away from you. The maximum distance for you to be able to detect them is 1 mile (DC 98).
Mana Leak: Spells which are cast by opponents within 6 squares of you must spend 1d6 additional points of MP. If this would put them below 0 MP they are considered to have overcast their spell, even if they didn't wish to.
Dreadful Spellkiller: If you have damaged a spellcaster on your turn, you may roll an Intimidate free. In addition to its normal effects on a successful intimidate, the spellcaster can only cast a single spell on their upcoming turn, and it must target you (if able). After being affected by this ability opponents are immune to its effects for the rest of the encounter.
