Catching objects while they're mid-air and in motion requires the ability to catch.
Ability Score(s): Precision + Reaction
Usage: Use this when determining whether a user can catch an object out of the air. Use the table below; higher results correspond to smaller things which can be caught accurately. Otherwise the object is dropped or missed.
Catching large or easy to catch objects is a DC 20, catching smaller and harder to grasp objects requires a DC 30.
Dangerous objects (such as a dagger) impose an additional +10 to the result needed if doing so without sustaining injuries. If this precaution isn't taken, when catching a dangerous object, there's a 50% (d100 used) chance you'll take the object's base damage + thrower's Power (if no base damage is specified, you take 1d8 + thrower's Power).
