Rapidly unsheathing a blade and attacking before re-sheathing the blade, the technique of the Iaijutsu is one which is passed down to Samurai for duels and surprise attacks.
Prerequisite(s): Must have taken Samurai at least once.
Iaijutsu Strike (Sword Technique): You expend 12 Stamina to make this attack as opposed to the standard 10, and subsequent attacks do not reduce the cost any - always costing 12 Stamina to make an Iaijutsu Strike attack. An Iaijutsu Strike deals an additional amount of damage equal to 1d6 per point you have in Agility or Reaction (whichever is higher).
Beat Away: A number of times per day equal to your Reaction, you can halve the Stamina cost on a Parry.
Diamond Slash (Sword Technique): This functions as per Iaijutsu Strike, except that instead of bonus damage a Diamond Strike deals half damage and knocks the enemy prone.
Sword Demon (Sword Technique): This costs 4 Stamina. For a number of rounds equal to your Drive, enemies who take damage from your attacks lose Resolve equal to 2d6 + your Drive.
Resonance Slash (Sword Technique): This functions as per Iaijutsu Strike, except that instead of bonus damage a Resonance Slash makes all damage to to the opponent's Magic Points instead of their Hit Points.
