Coin Seeker: Individuals who have failed to pay the Loan Shark back in full are subject to their Coin Seeker effect. First; upon signing a loan the money must be repaid within a set time frame (normally between 1 - 8 months). Second - interest is determined; money being loaned out starts at an interest rate of 8% and accrues an additional 5% for each month past the first. Time frames under a month are instead 5% however that is the minimum interest rate and cannot be further lowered. A Loan Shark can voluntarily lower or raise interest beyond the normal rates, but this will positively or negatively influence the customer's opinion, especially if they can find another Loan Shark with cheaper rates.

Lastly; divide the amount of interest accrued by 10 (minimum of 0), then add 1 for each month over the agreed date the individual has failed to pay. This bonus is granted to the Loan Shark on all checks versus them, as well as granted as a bonus to attack and damage rolls made by any debt collectors the Loan Shark sends out to punish the individual against the one they are collecting the debt from.

Connections: Loan Sharks only pay 60% of the regular cost for any hirelings they need (such as slaves, bodyguards, debt collectors, and so on). In addition, Loan Sharks can spend 10 minutes familiarizing themselves with a city/town/region. Upon doing so they become aware of any black markets operating within the area, as well as the most famous crime lords. Finding said individuals is another matter however...
