Sha'ir receive the following equipment for their job; a Janni-bound object (this object must be handheld and carriable), a set of hot-weather clothes, a turban, a water pouch, and a quarterstaff.
Sha'ir do not make money per month, instead receiving donations as payment for their miracles.
Sha'ir are a spellcasting occupation and use the spellcaster calculation for total Magic Points. When taking this occupation you learn 4 Spells. These spells can be traded out for Spell Powers from other spellcasting types.
Jinn: This Jinn is the source of the Sha'ir's mystical powers - and the Sha'ir is the source of the Jinn's power. A Jinn can survive without a Sha'ir, but ideally choose not to as Sha'ir are devoted to carrying out the Jinn's will at request unlike normal individuals who instead prefer to greedily use the Jinn for personal gain.
So long as they maintain contact with their Janni-bound object they are capable of casting Rituals and Runes without needing any diagrams or remembering how to enact the ritual.
Sha'ir are rare and often only found in deserts or areas where the Jinn make their home, and it costs 6 TP in order to take it as an occupation. Although more common prior to Islam's dominance in Arabia, Sha'ir exist in small sects across the desert, wandering alone typically and showing their powers only to those they deem worthy. Some Sha'ir even converted to Islam, professing their power as Allah's miracles in order to avoid persecution and further the faith's goals.
Sha'ir also do well when combined with any other Magician occupations.
