Ability Score(s): Reason + Intuition + Common Sense
Usage: The study of magic as well as understanding the effects of spells as they're being cast, Arcana is commonly taught or intuitively learned by mages, and those who are capable of spellcasting who lack the Arcana skill are normally seen as dangerous wild cards who may make mistakes on their spells at any moment.
Identify Spell
Spells can be identified with Arcana through the use of a DC 35 check, and on a successful roll you not only understand the spell but also any modifications or bonus effects being applied to it (such as species abilities or add-ons which increase the spell's MP cost).
Inspect Item
This involves attempting to discover and discern magical properties relating to an item you're holding, and attempting to see its power. In order to identify its effects, an Arcana check must be made against the crafting DC of the item. If none exists use DC 30. If the item is a Legendary Weapon or similarly as powerful, it is instead a DC 80.
