Scouts are utilized by armies to investigate the surroundings ahead, mapping uncharted areas or discovering enemy encampments.
Taken Ranger at least once.
Scouts increase these skills;
+2 Ranks to Direction Sense
+1 Rank to Nature (Geography and Humanoids), Search, Sight, Hearing, and Sprint.
Scouts receive the following skills;
Language (Read and Write): Choose one, Cartography, Logic, Remember Detail, and Tracking at Competent Rank.
Scouts receive a map, writing tools, rope, and camouflage cloak.
Scouts increase their wage by 18 Silver.
Scouts rush to the front to survey ahead and report back with details on formations, and costs 6 TP in order to take it as a Promotion to the Ranger.
Scouts also do well when combined with any Warrior or Vagabond occupations.
Dive for Cover: When spending Stamina to Dodge, 2 additional Stamina can be spent in order to "Dive for Cover". This drops you prone in an adjacent square, and the attack misses unless it was a critical hit - it doesn't matter if it surpasses double your Physical Defense.
Zone of Expertise: Choose a type of landscape (such as forests, snowy-lands, deserts, mountains, etc.) or a specific country (such as Russia, England, or France). While within this chosen 'Zone of Expertise' the Scout receives a +2 bonus to Physical Defense, and a +10 bonus on Cartography, Remember Detail, and Tracking checks.
