Hair-dressers and surgeons who focus on trimming hair, shaving facial hair, bloodletting, teeth-pulling, amputations, and giving patients enemas. This is partially due to the practice of medicine being very limited to peasantry beyond herbal remedies or folk tradition.
Barbers must have a 3 or higher in Precision.
Barbers receive the following equipment for their job; a knife, scissors, razors, bloodletting tools (either two live leeches or primitive syringes), an apron, simple clothes, and 1d6+2 Silver.
Barbers make 8 Silver per month.
Becoming a Barber typically involves some mentorship and costs 3 TP in order to take it as an occupation. This mentorship involves learning under a more experienced Barber who can show you the tools of the trade, as well as how to handle your various tasks. Most veteran Barbers focus on hair styling, and only barely teach their apprentices anything about bloodletting leading to many unfortunate accidents when attempting it by inexperienced Barbers in training.
Barbers also do well when combined with the Cutthroat, Doctor, or Herbalist occupations.
