Smugglers are often involved in illegal or 'shady' trades, bringing goods from one end to another. Their capabilities in combat allow them to skirt out of danger, or past the law.
Taken Mercenary at least once, Persuasion or Trickery at Competent Rank or higher
Smugglers increase these skills;
+1 Rank to Persuasion, Trickery, Intimidate, Comedy, Storytelling, Etiquette, Haggling, and Seduction.
Smugglers receive the following skills;
Smugglers do not receive any special equipment.
Smugglers increase their wage by 20 Silver.
Smugglers use their skills to illegally transfer goods to and from different locations and costs 6 TP in order to take it as a Promotion to the Mercenary.
Smugglers also do well when combined with any Warrior or Vagabond occupations.
Up-Charge: When making a Haggling check, add an additional 2% to the discount/increase on higher rolls. This increases by another 2% for each additional time Smuggler is taken.
Reputable Seller: Smugglers are able to acquire normally difficult to find or illegal goods in areas. Doing so is a Persuasion or Trickery skill check versus DC 15. For well-guarded or areas with moderate surveillance this becomes DC 30, and for areas with heavy surveillance and oppressive guard forces, this is DC 60.
When purchasing illegal goods, Smugglers are able to buy them at their base price without mark-up being applied due to them being illegal. In addition they are able to ignore up to 100 silver (or 1 gold) worth of tariffs when buying or selling their goods to open markets.
