Brown Fur

'Brown Fur' Bugbears are naturally strong slavers who use their knack for violence to subdue humans and elves in order to enslave them.

Physical Description

Although short despite how stocky they are, Brown Furs stand around 5'2'' although they weigh double the average weight of a human of the same height, due in part to how dense their bones and muscle mass is. Like all Bugbears they are covered in hair, especially on their shoulders, arms, and thighs, and possess four-digits on their hands and feet. They have dull eye colors which can be yellow, orange, blue, or rarely green.

Personality

Brown Furs are infamous for being comprised of slavers, seeing the natural order of things to be that they all must be subjugated and come under their rule. Those who aren't Bugbears are lesser beings, and their free will is seen as a detriment to their livelihood and their usefulness, instead believing that they would serve better as chattel slaves for the rest of their lives.

Black Fur

The more unnatural variants of the Brown Furs, Black Fur Bugbears aren't as inclined towards violence and conquest and instead prefer to be left alone.

Physical Description

Taller than normal Bugbears, Black Furs stand around 5'8'' and have sleek black fur with eyes which range from yellow, orange, red, and maroon. In addition to this their features are much more pronounced and beast-like than other Bugbears, giving them a much more vicious and aggressive appearance.

Personality

Black Furs are often solitary, preferring their own company to the company of others, putting themselves at odds with other Bugbears as they don't wish to engage in the same violence as they may be willing to. This goes as far as for them to interrupt Brown Furs attempting to catch slaves, attacking the Brown Furs for no other reason than they're being violent, and in the eyes of the Black Fur they need to be 'brought down a peg'.

Solitary: When there are no allies adjacent to the Black Fur, they gain a +1 bonus to all Defenses.

Lone Wolf: So long as no allies are within 4 squares of the Black Fur they receive a +2 bonus to all checks (including attack rolls, skill checks, and damage rolls).

Silver Fur

Silver Fur Bugbears are adept at manipulation and getting what they want from those around them.

Physical Description

Silver Fur Bugbears stand around 5'5'' and although still just as bestial looking as other Bugbears they possess thick manes of fur with a shimmering silver coloration which covers and hides most of their features, their forms being a shimmering blur of gray when they run as the silky smooth fur glistens in the light.

Personality

Although possessing an inherent knack for getting what they want and being the driving force of a conversation, their charismatic elements are rarely used in a positive light, often being used to give themselves some form of advantage over those around them or being used to forcing others to do their bidding. Silver Furs get along reasonably enough with other kinds of Bugbears because of this, their ability for talking making them valuable allies.

Gold Fur

Ever elusive, the Gold Fur Bugbears are noted for their golden blonde hair and knack for wrestling.

Physical Description

Similar to Silver Furs, Gold Furs are a unique kind of Bugbear due to their signature golden fur and its unusual properties as it sparkles like that of natural gold. Gold Furs stand around 5'5'' and look much more ape-like than other Bugbears, their grunts and growls as well sounding similar to that of a gorilla, and their voices being incredibly deep and booming.

Personality

Gold Furs don't like to associate themselves with other Bugbears often, their unique fur offering admiration from their fellow kinsmen but also coming with a variety of expectation and tall tales, especially those which believe Gold Fur is a sign of nobility or magic in one's bloodline and lumping responsibility on them. Much like Black Furs, Gold Furs wish to be free, sometimes even dying their fur black in order to disguise themselves as one so as to run away and become more unassuming and out of the public eye.
