Taking care of animals as well as teaching them tricks and domesticating them.
Ability Score(s): Drive + Intuition
Usage: Often used for attempts at domestication, placation, teaching tricks, and otherwise dealing with animal behavior and animal interactions.
Domestication: Although not true "domestication" this skill pertains more-so turning yourself into a trusted figure to an animal and making them likely to like and want to be near you. This is much easier with smaller animals or by serving as their mother at a young age, it becomes more difficult the older the animal gets and whether they are wild or not.
Calm, gentle, or otherwise friendly animals are incredibly easy to tame (DC 14), and more hostile or naturally aggressive animals are more difficult (DC 20). If an animal would consider you their prey that increases the DC by 10. If they are wild, the DC is increased by another 10. If you nurtured them when they were young the DC is decreased by 1 for every month they interacted with you as a cub/pup to a maximum DC reduction of 15.
Placate Creature: By using food you can attempt to make an animal stop its hostility to instead focus on the meal. This requires a day's worth of rations (or less at GM's discretion based on the creature's hunger and/or size), and the DC is 35. This can only be used against Animals with 2 Intellect or lower.
Teach a Trick: If this is being used to teach an animal a trick, it instead uses a check versus the animal's Intellect + 10. On a successful roll, the animal learns the trick. On a failed roll, you must wait a day to attempt to teach it again.
