Crushing Fangs (Simple Technique): By spending 20 Stamina instead of 10 Stamina on their first attack, the Floating Maw can focus all of their force on a single bite. When doing so increase damage by an additional +2d12, and grants their bite Penetration (1d6).
Devour: When successfully slaying an opponent with their bite attack the Floating Maw can contort their body and elongate their mouth to freakish lengths, allowing them to swallow anything into their pocket dimension of a gullet. When doing so they recover 1d10 + Health (3) points of HP an 2d4 + Stamina (5) points of SP.
Taste the Air: Floating Maws can use their Taste skill in place of Sight or Hearing in order to detect other creatures within the same area as it.
Flavor Vulnerability: Intense flavors are enough to deter a Floating Maw from biting. If someone is coated in extremely hot spices, laxative-type substances, or (at GM's discretion) other "strong" and "intense" flavors the Floating Maw takes a -5 penalty to hit and loses their Power to damage against them.
Frightening: Some creatures are more horrifying than others, some even bending the very shape and form of reality around them, being terrifying by virtue of their existence rather than any attempt made by them to be as such. Whatever the case may be, this creature causes fear in those who see them. This ability is constantly active (but can be mitigated by the creature if they so choose, nullifying it for 1 hour) and those who are capable of seeing the creature take 2 points of Resolve damage per minute of interaction with the creature outside of combat, and in combat on the first round those engaging the creature as their enemy have an attack (the bonus is determined by creature's Intimidate skill) made against the Mental Defense and upon a hit the opponents suffer 2d6 Resolve and 1d6 Sanity damage. On a miss this is reduced only to a 1d6 Resolve damage.
Lastly, creatures with this ability receive a +5 bonus on all Intimidate checks they make while it's active.
Immunity to the Fear status effect, fear effects, intimidate, or mind-affecting effects makes you immune to this ability.
An animated mouth floating through some strange manner; it has no sentience beyond a ravenous desire to eat. Floating Maws can elongate or shrink themselves in order to larger or smaller prey on a whim.
