Resonant combatants who utilize their musical talent on the battlefield as well as in their downtime, Skalds inspire allies mid-fight and tell tall tales like many other bards like them.
Skalds must have taken Bard at least once, and Musical Instrument (Any) at Competent Rank or higher
Skalds increase these skills;
+1 Rank to Musical Instrument (Any), History (Legends), Persuasion, and Storytelling
Skalds don't receive any special equipment as part of their occupation.
Skalds increase their wage per month by 10 Silver.
Skalds are battlefield performers, capable of inspiring their allies when things look to be dire and costs 6 TP in order to take it as a Promotion to the Bard.
Skalds also do well when combined with Civilian or Warrior occupations.
Battle Chant: As combat starts but before initiative is rolled, you can make a Musical Instrument check in order to grant yourself and all allies a +5 bonus to their initiative. The DC is 20 and increases by 5 for each additional ally beyond yourself. On a failure nobody is affected by the chant, but otherwise no ill effects occur.
Inner Strength: You're capable of utilizing your own force of will to ensure you survive lethal blows. If you would be dropped to 0 HP or lower, you can roll a Musical Instrument check versus a DC equal to 10 + how much HP you're missing. On a successful check, you can either remain conscious and alive for 1d4+1 rounds despite your injuries, or fall unconscious but immediately stabilize and your HP is set to 0 instead of the number it would've been previously.
