Barons (or Baroness if female) are owners of a fief, castle, and shire which all have been granted to them by their king.
Barons must have the Mark of Nobility trait, and must be granted their fief by a king or similar authority
Barons receive the following skills;
Cartography, Genealogy, and Language (Read & Write): Native Language at Apprentice Rank.
Heraldry, History (Cultural, Military, and Local), Remember Detail, and Cosmetics at Trained Rank.
Etiquette, Law, Intimidate, Persuasion, and Seduction at Competent Rank.
Barons receive the following equipment for their job; a fief to a specific region, a castle*, a set of expensive clothing (40 Silver total value), an allotment of jewelry (70 Silver total value), and a retainer (controlled by the GM).
* This castle isn't owned by them, but instead a Duke. They are the designated count living in the castle, and treat it as their home.
Barons make 50 Silver per month.
Barons are owners of a plot of land who manage a castle and run their fief, and it costs 6 TP in order to take it as an occupation. Often, Barons don't leave their fiefdoms however as they are needed in order to manage their domain and ensure stability. For when they do leave they have accountants and bodyguards at the ready as well as someone to act in their stead should they be gone for an abnormal amount of time, and whom they can correspond with through letters.
Barons also do well when combined with any other Nobility occupations.
