Seducing individuals into taking actions you want them to, be it sexual or otherwise.
Ability Score(s): Rhetoric + Voice + Beauty
Usage: Though typically associated with seduction in the sexual sense, however under the right circumstances could also be used in cases of attempting to persuade someone into doing something lewd or illegal (such as taking a drug). Seduction's former usage is much more common however.
Seduction rolls are tested against Mental Defense or as an opposed roll (similar to Persuasion) however the roll encompasses different usages; determining if they find you attractive, and if they're willing to do what you ask. It can also be used to determine the quality of sex the character can deliver, and is detailed more below.
If the action is one the character is already tempted to do, this roll receives a +5 bonus. If it is something they don't want this is a -5 instead. If they would never do it, it is a -20. If they normally do it already it is a +20.
Sex and performing sexual deeds is rarely a topic which comes up in-game and often doesn't warrant explicit detail or rolls. However in some special circumstances a character may wish to see how satisfied their partner or partners are after the deed is done, for this a "Sex" roll is made and uses your skill rank for Seduction but replaces the ability scores with Beauty + Stamina + Agility.
Sex is tested against an opponent's Bodily Defense, and if you beat their Bodily Defense it is a satisfying experience for the both of you. If you don't the experience is satisfying for you however the other party is hurt, loses interest halfway through, or otherwise finds little enjoyment in the experience.
This roll is important for Prostitutes, determining how much money they make (using the roll's result divided by 5 and then multiplied by their Beauty, determining how much money they make in Silver pieces). It can also serve as important for characters attempting to win the favor of another person through bedding them and giving them an enjoyable night, counting their roll against Bodily Defense as if it were a Seduction roll against Mental Defense.
Typically the medieval times were very traditionalist and areas under the dominance of Catholicism especially looked down on what they viewed as deviant behavior such as homosexuality. Unless otherwise stated, assume NPCs are straight. This can be modified according to the setting, such as in a non-Earth setting or one set in the future.
Characters and NPCs fall into one of four categories of sexual attraction; Heterosexual, Homosexual, Pansexual, and Asexual.
Heterosexual characters feel strong emotional and/or sexual attractions to the opposite sex.
Homosexual characters feel strong emotional and/or sexual attractions to the same sex.
Pansexual characters feel strong emotional and/or sexual attractions to both sexes.
Asexual characters feel no strong emotional and/or sexual attractions to either sex.
These are simplifications of reality however they should be used as guidelines. For example a character may be homosexual but may not experience any sexual attractions. This still counts them as homosexual for the purposes of this chart and for simplicity's sake.
More often than not this shouldn't come up in a normal game, as most people feel uncomfortable roleplaying out sex verbally or discussing how another character has their way with another. It is undeniable however that sex exists, is an important part of society, and there is no getting around discussing it. This section attempts to take a mature view of the matter, and won't stray from some more candid details but otherwise is not being produced as a means for off-color humor or attempts at titillation. You're free to skip reading this section if such would make you uncomfortable, and as the GM it is important to discuss ahead of time what should or shouldn't appear in sessions.
