A nickname for albinos, children of the moon are believed to be this way due to the presence of an eclipse either during the conception or birth of the child.
You gain a +4 bonus on Constellation and Cosmos checks, however you take a -5 to Social skill checks unless you remain unseen, disguised, or otherwise hidden. In addition to this social penalty, you take 1d4-1 points of damage for every hour spent in the sun unprotected, and take a -10 to all Sight/Search checks and other checks which require sight (such as Read Lips).
Children of the moon sometimes are mistaken for vampires or dhampirs due to their red eyes, pale skin, and the way they burn in the sunlight. Their association with lunar eclipses and thus the night as a whole doesn't help this image much either.
For every situation in which Child of the Moon would get you in trouble, or in a case where they may be in mortal danger due to the risks associated with it (such as being attacked, or taking too much damage from the sunlight to the point of heat exhaustion/death) you receive an additional 1 TP.
