Through the course of a game, characters will receive Training Points which allow them to advance their character and unlock new abilities or routes for them to take. The following listed here are ways to spend Training Points (TP) on characters.
Listed on the skills page is a chart for the cost for every rank of a skill.
Advancing sub-ability scores costs an amount of TP equal to the sub-ability score. In order to advance one of the character's primary ability scores, at least two of the sub-ability scores of their primary score need to be at their maximum. Advancing an ability score costs the average of the ability score's three sub-ability scores (rounded down) then plus 2.
Listed on the talents page, talents cost 3 TP each. Although it is possible to go a game without taking a single talent, it is highly recommended some are taken to diversify a character's options and grant them unique abilities.
Listed on the magic page, spells/spell powers cost 3 TP each unless otherwise specified. Spells can only be taken by characters who are spellcasters. Characters are counted as spellcasters if their Occupation, Species, or Traits give them spells.
Listed on the occupations page, the cost for each occupation varies. It is possible for characters to possess many occupations.
