Math: Module 4 Review
Spelling: Review the following words for a test on Friday.

Dear Parents,
Green Word Study
Once again, our “Green Word” pattern for the week will be the diphthong –ow as in clown or cow and –ow as in snow.” We have already learned the diphthong spelling of –ou that says /ow/ as in cloud. Please practice the –ow words as your child brings them home on dictation pages. Weekly spelling words may come from the dictation pages. Students will be expected to apply all classroom information to ten or more “-ow words on their Friday, February 24th spelling test.
Vocabulary Study
Our spelling test will include the new reading vocabulary words clever and peacefully with the review words paced, pretended, and furious. These vocabulary words are from our fairy tale reading of “Lon Po Po.” We will continue to compare two of the same stories by different authors or from different cultures. RL.2.9
Red Word Study
There will be no new red words for the week. We will review the red words their, sign, should, and yellow. These words will be on the Friday spelling test. Please remember that these words are non-decodable words and do not follow the rules of phonics. Each student must receive a 100 percent for two weeks in a row to receive a final grade for all red words.
Please note that our final spelling test for all words will be on Friday, February 24, 2017.
