Fact and Opinion Activity

Main ideas of different passages

Practice addition and subtraction flashcards.

Please Note: There is a mandatory parent signature that is required on a daily basis for the remainder of the third and fourth quarter. Nightly reading is also required.

Spelling:

Red Words: Our red words for this week are bought, brother, brought, buy, and by.

Green Words: We will spell and write words with digraph ph--that is, two letters together that make one sound. The ph stands for the same sound as the letter f /f/. The /f/ sound in the dictated words this week should be spelled with ph.

Spelling test on Friday, February 28, 2014 (red words and ph- words)

Reading:

Students will continue to read from our reading textbook the story, "Jellies." The genre for this selection is informational text. The students will identify text features and graphic features. The students will also write an informational paragraph during writing time this week.

Continue to read "Homeward Bound" books each evening for twenty minutes.
