Spelling Information for the Week of January 19, 2016 to January 22, 2016
Homework: Students will review the Green Word dictation sheets for a test on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Students may use the back of the spelling information sheet to practice writing dictated green words.
Dear Parents,
“Green Words”
This week will continue our review week for all of our second quarter green word patterns. The second quarter green word patterns are as follows: Suffix -ed (d, id, t), ph (phone), -ck (black), ee (tree), -ay (play), oe (toe), oo (zoo), oo (good), ea (head), -ew (grew & few). The students should have two dictation sheets to study from for their test on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Please review these patterns.
On Thursday, January 21st, we will identify and complete dictation sheets for the –or green word pattern.
“Red Words”
There will be no red words to learn this week. Please continue to review all 1st and 2nd quarter red words daily or weekly.
“Vocabulary Words”
There will be no additional vocabulary words this week.
Spelling Test: Our Green Word Review test will be on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Our –or Green Word test will be on Friday, January 22nd.
