Reading Logs for the 2nd Nine Weeks
Please note that two books must be read prior to this date. Once again, your child will be responsible for turning in four reading logs per nine weeks.
*Homeward Bound books - please read on a nightly basis. Students are required to read these books at home. Each student needs to turn in 2 reading log sheets per Interim, and a total of 4 reading log sheets per report card. Your child will receive a grade for turning in his/her completed reading logs.
Math: NWEA Testing on Friday
Spelling: Spelling test on Friday, December 12, 2014
This week students will be reviewing adding ed to the action word or the verb when something happens some time ago, whether it was a long time ago or “a moment ago.” The ed may be pronounced short (i), (d), or (t).
Examples:
ed says short /i/ - rent rented
ed says /d/ - sail sailed
ed says /t/ - jump jumped
Students will also be required to spell two more “red words” on his/her final spelling test on Friday. Our red words for this week are which and white. Please write each red word and gold/vocabulary word three times each for homework. Return the completed spelling practice on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Please note that this week’s final spelling test will be on Friday, December 12, 2014.
