Red Words

There will be two new red words for next week. The red words are sign and buy. Please continue to review all first, second, and third quarter words that have already been taught.

Green Words

Next week our Green Word pattern will be words ending with a /k/ sound. Words preceded by a short vowel are spelled -ck. Words ending with a /k/ sound preceded by a vowel team or diphthong end in -k. Words ending with a /k/ sound preceded by a long vowel end in -ke. Please practice these patterns as your child brings them home on their Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday dictation pages. Please also note that weekly spelling words will come from the dictation pages or words that have a similar -ck, -ke, -k pattern.

This week’s final spelling test will be on Friday, March 4, 2016.
