"Nature Quest Family Fun Night"

On Thursday evening, February 8th, between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m, the 2nd grade students at Washington Primary will have their "Nature Quest" Family Fun Night. Students and parents will listen to a brief presentation about the Nature Quest program sponsored by the Miami County Parks and Recreation and then begin their first reading/journal activity.

6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Come join us as we kick-off our “Nature Quest” celebration of getting to know nature through exploration and reading. In conjunction with the Miami County Parks District, our students will have the opportunity to use their backyard, playground, or park to enjoy nature. During this evening, parents and students will begin their nature journey together as a family. Students will borrow a backpack full of science tools to use while they learn about the great outdoors. Throughout this weekly program, students and parents will read books, complete journal activities, and be awarded prizes. Students who read and complete journal activities for 10 or more books, will receive an “Animal Party” presented by the Miami County Parks District naturalists.
Families . . . read a good book and extend our RRK into nature!

A healthy snack will be provided during the evening activities.
