Washington Primary Fall Parties & Costume Day

Friday, October 30

Treats - In support of our wellness and dental initiatives, we are limiting the number of treats that children receive during our Harvest parties.

At Parent-Teacher Conferences, each teacher had a sign up sheet for parents to bring treats. We have limited it to one salty treat, one sweet treat, and one drink.

These are the only treats that will be accepted. Please do not buy and send in treats, or other items, for this party, unless you were signed up and the teacher contacts you.

All treats must be individually pre-packaged, store bought items. For example - Hostess or Little Debbies snacks. You may not buy a treat in a large package and individually re-package them at home.

Any extra treats sent in will be sent home. Thank you for understanding and helping us create a healthy learning environment.

Costumes - All students may wear a costume to school on this day. Please follow these guidelines:

Students’ faces should not be covered - no masks or clothing that covers the face (other than a mask for Covid) Also, no fake blood is allowed.

Make sure the outfit does not interfere with their learning. Students will need to be able to write, move freely, and walk normally.

Costumes that may interfere with walking safely on the steps should not be worn.

Do not bring any props with the outfit such as wands, swords, or any other item the students would need to carry.
