Intermediate Championship
Caulry took on local rivals Moate at Pairc Ui Ciaran, Athlone on Saturday last in the second series of games in this year's Intermediate Championship before a good sized attendance. Fielding an understength side due to prevailing injuries Caulry held the upperhand in the first half and went in at the break leading by 0-6 to 0-4 despite missing a number of scoreable opportunities during the half. The second half was evenly balanced but Moate began to dominate the exchanges and drew level mid-way through the half. Despite missing several easy scoring opportunities from both play and from frees Moate failed to capitalise on their domination and a Philip Dully winning point in the closing minutes got Caulry 'out of jail' with a crucial win over our neighbours. A lot of work will be required by the squad before the next round of games to be played in July for Caulry to be involved in the shake-up for the key knock-out stages of this competition later in the season.
On Sunday morning last Clann Na Gael, Roscommon were visitors to Caulry for three games to accommodate the large numbers on both sides. The three games proved to be extremely well contested in very blustery conditions, with honours even. The return fixture will be eagerly awaited. The younger members of the teams really stole the show, with Ciaran Gaynor a rock in defence, while Alan Malynn played like a veteran, spraying passes and kicking scores from all angles. Up front Sean Malone and Emma Farrell were a handful for the visitors defence.

Caulry Under 10 footballers travelled to Ballynacargy on Sunday morning week last and came out on top after two enjoyable games of football played in very windy conditions. Leroy Coughlan gave a storming display, while Luke Buckley also had a great match in a good all round team display.

Minor Board Fun Day & Community Games
The Minor Board organised a very well attended and well run 'Fun Day' in the Park on Sunday last for the younger age-groups with several novelty competitions taking place and plenty of barbecued burgers being consumed by all. This was followed by an equally successfull Community Games Athletics evening for the Baylin/Mount Temple area hosted by the local Commuity Games Committee. Well done to both organisations for a very enjoyable day's entertainment in the Park for the young people of the Parish.
